The old Scirocco was a legend but unfortunately Volkswagen stopped its production. For some people, it was the sexiest car ever. But unfortunately VW never installed a powerful engine to the old Scirocco so it failed to impress the sports car enthusiasts. A long wait for test driving the new Volkswagen Scirocco ended few days ago when my friend that works in the Volkswagen dealer called me. I almost waited for 5 months and I was actually losing my hope. Volkswagen at its finest=New Scirocco. The car is built on the well known Volkswagen A5 platform that is also used at the production of Golf 5, Golf , Audi Q3 and many others. Marc Lichte and his design team did a great job. As I have seen on the streets before, this car easily make the people turn their heads. The car looks amazing. The darkened windows is an amazing feature if you drive in a sunny place or you have a driver at your back that drives with high beam lights and they don’t reduce your visibility. The alloy wheels are standard and you can choose between the Donington or the Spa. The Spa wheels seem to look better on the Scirocco but of course it is my own opinion. The panoramic sunroof is optional and priced 1250 Euros for 1.4 TSI and 1500 Euros for 2.0 TSI. Dual exhaust tips make the car look very sporty. The Scirocco have high interior quality. After the criticism of using poor quality of materials in Golf 5, VW is paying more attention to the interior quality. With the Easy Entry feature of the seats, the passengers at the back can easily enter and exit the car. The dashboard and the steering wheel is very similar to the Golf 6 . If you have a DSG Scirocco, you can shift the gears from the steering wheel. Dual Zone Climatronic adjusts the interior temperature to the desired level and is very powerful. The armrest is a standard feature and makes the long distance driving very comfortable. Radio-MP3-CD player have a 6-CD changer installed and you can also plug in your iPod or other auxiliary audio devices. The touch screen is very easy and fun to use. The 12-way adjustable driver seat is optional and can be installed for a price of 250-350 Euros. 4 people can travel in the car comfortably and there is enough space for the legs and the heads of the rear passengers. Volkswagen cars are always safe, so is the new Scirocco. ESP, ABS, EDL, MSR, EBD and ASR; you name it, Scirocco has it.
